Easter is traditionally regarded as the most important of Christian holy days, and Easter in Jersey is celebrated with two holidays on Good Friday and the day after Easter Sunday.

The date of the holiday changes each year based on the centuries-old calculations that determine the Christian Ecclesiastical Calendar, such that the date of Easter Sunday can be anytime between 22 March and 25 April.

For the people of England and France, the isle of Jersey in the English Channel is a perfect little getaway spot that is supremely popular among Easter (Spring) Break vacationers.

People flock down for Easter-centric activities like egg hunts and face painting for kids. And they also come to enjoy the pleasant springtime weather at Jersey’s parks and on her walking trails. And of course, there’s also Easter Weekend on the beach, at the Jersey Zoo, or exploring the numerous historic sites on the island.

The Channel Islands Heritage Festival runs from 30 March to 10 May, with a different theme each year. This festival is always going on when you visit Jersey for Easter holiday.
