Labour Day is celebrated in Andorra on the first of May as in most of the rest of Europe. It is both a celebration of the arrival of spring and a commemoration of the labour rights movements of the past and present.

While winter is the big tourist season in Andorra, due to the influx of skiing enthusiasts, there are many things to do here in the spring as well. Skiing essentially ends mid-April, and May is the warmest month of the spring in Andorra. It sits right before the big summer rush season too, making it a great time for locals and tourists alike to relax, enjoy the weather, and see this tiny country’s many historic sites.
May Day is very beautiful in the mountains of Andorra. Wildflowers, mountain meadows, and the greening-up of inter-mountain valleys are simply breath-taking. Many in Andorra, therefore, get outside to hike, picnic, or trek on or around Labour Day each year.
