Greek Independence Day 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Cyprus

Greek Independence Day, Greece’s national day, is celebrated in Cyprus on 25 March as in Greece itself.

The holiday is now blended in with the Feast of the Annunciation, and although no one really knows if 25 March was the exact date in 1821 when the Greek revolt against Ottoman rule began, it did at least occur in late March.

Many in Cyprus will listen to speeches and watch parades on TV or radio from Athens and other parts of Greece. Some may even march in local parades themselves. Eating traditional Greek dishes is also popular.
